We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors and those who supply us with personal data; this policy sets out how we will treat your personal information.

 

(1) What information do we collect?

(b) information relating to our activities with you as a client, potential client or business contact including information relating to any transactions carried out between you and us.  We collect your personal details from your hard copy business card, or from emails sent to us;

 

(c) information that you provide to us for the purpose of registering with us (including name, job title, email address, institution, job title, telephone number, address);

 

(d) any other information that you choose to send to us by any other route;

 

(e) in addition, we use third party services Wufoo and MailChimp to operate the data collection forms for our mailing list and other forms on our website.  Wufoo will store any data collected by this route, and we may add your data to our Wufoo forms if you send it to us by another route and ask us to register you on our mailing list or to respond to another webform on your behalf.  Wufoo’s privacy policy is available at: www.surveymonkey.com/mp/legal/privacy-policy/ We transfer the mailing list to MailChimp to generate mailings.  MailChimp's privacy policy is available at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/

 

(f) we will retain your personal data for as long as you continue to have a business relationship with John Forbes Consulting LLP.  Where you have signed up to our mailing list, we will retain your data indefinitely, unless you ask us to delete it.

 

(2) Cookies

 

A cookie consists of information sent by a web server to a web browser, and stored by the browser. The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser.
