In Greek mythology, King Sisyphus bragged that he was cleverer  than the gods.  They punished him by giving him the burden of a rock to carry to the top of a mountain. Each time he reached the top, the rock rolled back to the bottom.  Hedge fund managers for bragging that they were cleverer than governments have been given the burden of regulation and the real estate industry is now having to share the load.
